- Choose the format that matches your writing, filename, identifier, or coding convention.
- Copy an individual result, or use the main copy control for the first generated variant.
How the case conversions work
Uppercase and lowercase use the browser's built-in string case conversion. Title case and sentence case apply simple character-based rules. The programming-style variants first split words around whitespace, underscores, hyphens, dots, and lower-to-upper camelCase boundaries, then join the words with the required casing and separator.
These transformations are mechanical rather than grammar-aware. Title case does not apply publishing-style rules for articles or prepositions, and sentence case only changes the first character plus the remaining casing of the whole input. Acronyms and language-specific capitalization may therefore need manual review.
Privacy and limitations
All transformations happen locally in your browser and your text does not need to be uploaded. Case conversion can be affected by Unicode and language-specific casing rules, and the programming-style word splitter is intended for common Latin-script identifier patterns rather than full linguistic tokenization.
Frequently asked questions
Which case styles are available?
The page includes upper, lower, title, sentence, camel, Pascal, snake, kebab, constant, and dot case.
Does title case follow a formal style guide?
No. It uses a simple word capitalization rule rather than AP, Chicago, or another editorial style guide.
How does camelCase splitting work?
The converter also recognizes common separators and lower-to-upper camelCase boundaries before rebuilding the identifier.
Can I copy one specific format?
Yes. Each generated result has its own copy control.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Conversion runs entirely in the browser.
