Sitemap XML Analyzer
Paste a urlset or sitemapindex XML document to review entries, required locations, duplicates, dates, change frequencies, and priorities. Parsing runs entirely in your browser; no URLs are fetched or checked.
Inspect pasted XML sitemap content as either a urlset or sitemapindex and report missing, duplicate, or malformed values without fetching any listed URL.
How to analyze a sitemap XML
- Paste sitemap XML and run the analyzer.
- Check whether the root is a supported urlset or sitemapindex and review total, normal, warning, and error counts.
- Inspect field coverage and the individual entries that contain issues.
Validation performed
Every entry is checked for a loc element and HTTP/HTTPS URL syntax; duplicate loc values are warnings. lastmod is validated against supported W3C-style date or timestamp forms.
For urlset entries, changefreq must be one of always, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or never, and priority must be a finite number from 0 through 1. Sitemap indexes are checked for loc and lastmod only.
Privacy and limitations
The XML is parsed and analyzed locally in your browser. The tool does not request listed URLs, verify HTTP status, test whether a sitemap is submitted or indexed, enforce search-engine file-size or URL-count limits, or crawl nested sitemap indexes.
