Random Number Generator
Generate up to 1,000 random numbers from a custom range using the browser cryptography API. Choose integers or decimals and require unique values when the range allows it.
Generate up to 1,000 random values inside a range, with options for integers and unique results. The generator uses the browser cryptographic random-number source rather than Math.random().
How to generate random numbers
- Set the minimum, maximum, and number of results.
- Choose whether results must be integers and whether they must be unique.
- Generate the values and copy the newline-separated output if needed.
Randomness and uniqueness rules
Random fractions are built from crypto.getRandomValues(), giving stronger randomness than the ordinary Math.random() function.
If Unique is enabled, the requested count cannot exceed the number of available values. Decimal uniqueness is represented on a fixed eight-decimal-place grid.
Privacy and limitations
Generation happens in the browser and does not require sending your range or generated numbers to a remote service. Do not treat generated values as a substitute for a complete security protocol.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum count?
The current tool allows 1 to 1,000 values at a time.
Can it generate decimals?
Yes. Turn off Integers.
Can all results be different?
Yes, if Unique is enabled and the range contains enough available values.
Is Math.random() used?
No. The implementation uses crypto.getRandomValues().
Can integer ranges exceed JavaScript safe integers?
No. Integer mode validates both bounds as safe integers.
