UUID Generator
Generate one or multiple RFC 4122 v4 UUIDs using the browser's built-in crypto.randomUUID(). No server involved — UUIDs are generated entirely in your browser. Supports uppercase output and batch generation.
Generate one or many UUID version 4 identifiers in your browser. Choose a batch size from 1 to 100, optionally switch the letters to uppercase, and copy the generated identifiers as a newline-separated list.
How to generate UUID v4 values
- Enter how many UUIDs you want to generate, from 1 to 100.
- Enable Uppercase if you prefer capital A–F characters.
- Select Generate to create a fresh set of identifiers.
- Copy the full list for use in test data, records, fixtures, or development work.
How these UUIDs are generated
The tool calls the browser crypto.randomUUID() function for each value. That API produces RFC 4122 version 4 style UUIDs using the browser cryptography implementation. Batch output is separated by line breaks so it can be pasted easily into code, spreadsheets, fixtures, or test datasets.
UUIDs are designed to make accidental collisions extremely unlikely, but they are identifiers rather than passwords or secrets. A UUID should not be treated as proof of authorization, identity, ownership, or confidentiality simply because it looks random.
Privacy and limitations
UUID generation happens entirely in your browser and does not require a request to Votilo. The tool depends on browser support for crypto.randomUUID(). Generated identifiers should not be used as a substitute for authentication credentials, access-control checks, or encryption keys.
Frequently asked questions
Which UUID version does this tool generate?
It generates version 4 UUIDs through the browser crypto.randomUUID() API.
How many can I generate at once?
You can generate from 1 to 100 UUIDs per batch.
Does uppercase change the UUID value?
It only changes letter casing in the displayed hexadecimal characters.
Can I use a UUID as a password?
A UUID is an identifier and should not be treated as a password or access-control mechanism.
Are generated UUIDs sent to Votilo?
No. They are created locally in your browser.
