QR Code Scanner
Read QR codes from a local image or your device camera. Camera access starts only when you request it, decoding stays inside the browser, and detected links are never opened automatically.
Scan a QR code from a selected image or your device camera directly in the browser, then display and copy the decoded value and offer an open action for detected URLs.
How to scan a QR code
- Choose an image and press Scan Image, or start the camera after granting browser permission.
- Keep the QR code clear and large enough for the decoder to read.
- Review the decoded text, copy it, or open it when the result is classified as a URL.
Scanning details
Image files are downscaled when necessary before local decoding. Camera frames are sampled repeatedly at a reduced working size until a QR value is found or you stop the camera.
Camera access depends on browser permission and device support. A decoded URL is displayed as data from the QR code; scanning it does not establish that the destination is safe.
Privacy and limitations
Image decoding happens in your browser, and camera frames are processed locally by this tool. Camera use requires permission, and you should verify unfamiliar decoded URLs before opening them.
