Browser-local No signup required Utility

Estimate the fixed monthly payment, total repayment, and total interest for a standard amortizing loan using principal, annual rate, and term.

How to calculate a loan payment

  1. Enter the loan principal and annual interest rate.
  2. Enter the term and choose years or months.
  3. Calculate to view the monthly payment, totals, and the first 12 amortization rows.

How the calculation works

For a positive rate the tool uses the standard fixed-payment PMT formula with a monthly rate; at 0% it simply divides principal by the number of months.

The term is rounded to a whole number of months, and the amortization preview is limited to the first 12 payments even when the loan is longer.

Privacy and limitations

Loan inputs are processed only in your browser. This calculator does not include taxes, insurance, origination fees, variable rates, extra payments, late fees, or lender-specific rounding, so actual statements can differ.
