Referrer-Policy Analyzer

Paste a Referrer-Policy value, header line, or full HTTP response headers to identify recognized policy tokens, fallback order, the effective policy, and concise referrer-sharing behavior. Analysis runs entirely in your browser.

Browser-local No signup required Web

Analyze a pasted Referrer-Policy value or full HTTP response header block locally, identify recognized policy tokens, and summarize the effective policy and its broad referrer behavior.

How to analyze Referrer-Policy

  1. Paste a policy value, a Referrer-Policy header, or a full response header block.
  2. Run the analyzer and review recognized and unrecognized tokens.
  3. Check the effective policy, behavior summary, errors, and review notices.

What the analyzer checks

It recognizes the eight policy tokens implemented by the tool and treats the last recognized token in a fallback list as effective.

It flags empty or unknown tokens, repeated headers, fallback lists, unsafe-url, and no-referrer-when-downgrade for error or review as implemented.

Privacy and limitations

Only the text you paste is processed in your browser. The tool does not request a URL, observe real navigation, or prove what referrer a particular browser will send in every context.

Referrer-Policy Analyzer FAQ

Can I paste a full response?

Yes. The tool extracts Referrer-Policy from pasted response headers.

Which policy becomes effective?

The last recognized token in the parsed fallback list is shown as effective.

Are unknown tokens rejected?

They are marked for review; an input with no recognized policy also gets an error.

Does it simulate a browser request?

No. The behavior display is a summary, not live browser execution.

Is the header uploaded?

No. Analysis stays in the browser.
