Browser-local No signup required Utility

Resize a selected image in your browser to fit within maximum width and height limits while preserving aspect ratio, with optional upscaling and a downloadable result.

How to resize an image

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF image.
  2. Set maximum width and height, and enable upscaling only if you want a larger result.
  3. Run the resize, preview the output, and download the generated file.

How resizing works

The tool calculates one scale factor so the output fits inside both limits without changing the aspect ratio.

PNG, JPEG, and WebP keep their source MIME type; other accepted images are exported as PNG. Animated GIF frames are not preserved by canvas rendering.

Privacy and limitations

The selected image is decoded and redrawn locally in your browser. It is not uploaded by this tool, and very large images may be limited by browser memory or canvas limits.

Image Resizer FAQ

Does it keep aspect ratio?

Yes. Width and height are scaled together.

Can it enlarge images?

Yes, only when Allow upscale is enabled.

Which formats can I select?

PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF are accepted by the picker.

Will an animated GIF stay animated?

No. Canvas output represents a rendered frame rather than the original animation.

Is the image uploaded?

No. Processing is browser-local.
