CSV Viewer
Paste comma-separated, semicolon-separated, tab-separated, or pipe-separated values and view them as a formatted HTML table. Supports quoted fields with commas and optional first-row headers.
Parse delimited text and preview it as a scrollable HTML table. You can choose comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe as the delimiter and decide whether the first row should be rendered as table headers.
How to preview CSV or delimited text
- Paste the delimited text into the input box.
- Choose comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe as the delimiter.
- Select First row as header when appropriate.
- Parse the text or wait for the automatic preview.
- Review the table plus the reported data-row and column counts.
Parsing and table behavior
The parser handles quoted fields and doubled quotes inside quoted fields. CRLF, CR, and LF line endings create new rows, while delimiter characters inside quoted fields remain part of the field.
When the header option is enabled, the first parsed row is rendered with th cells and is excluded from the reported data-row count. Output text is HTML-escaped before insertion, and the reported column count uses the first parsed row length.
Privacy and limitations
Parsing and table rendering are performed locally in the browser. The delimiter must be selected manually; the tool does not auto-detect it. It is intended as a lightweight preview and does not enforce equal column counts, infer data types, edit cells, or export the rendered table.
Frequently asked questions
Which delimiters are supported?
Comma, semicolon, tab, and pipe can be selected.
Can quoted fields contain the delimiter?
Yes. A selected delimiter inside a quoted field is treated as field content.
Are doubled quotes supported?
Yes. Two quotes inside a quoted field are converted to one literal quote.
Does the first row have to be a header?
No. Disable the header option to render every row as table data.
Does it require every row to have the same number of columns?
No. The current viewer renders each parsed row as it is.
