Color Palette Generator

Pick or type a hex color to instantly generate a matching palette: complementary, triadic, analogous, split-complementary, or monochromatic. Click any swatch to copy its hex code. Runs in your browser.

Generate simple color-harmony palettes from a base HEX color using HSL hue rotation or lightness variation, then copy individual colors or the whole palette.

How to generate a color palette

  1. Choose or type a valid 3-digit or 6-digit HEX base color.
  2. Select complementary, triadic, analogous, split-complementary, or monochromatic.
  3. Click a swatch to copy it, or copy all generated HEX colors at once.

How palette types are calculated

Complementary, triadic, analogous, and split-complementary palettes rotate the base HSL hue while keeping saturation and lightness.

Monochromatic mode keeps hue and saturation but generates six lightness levels. This is a mathematical harmony helper, not a perceptual color-model or accessibility optimizer.

Privacy and limitations

Palette calculations run entirely in your browser. Generated colors are deterministic HSL-based suggestions and are not checked for text contrast, brand suitability, gamut issues, or color-vision accessibility.
