Business Days Calculator
Two modes: count the number of working days (Mon-Fri) between two dates, or calculate the date that falls N business days after a start date. Holidays are not included. Runs in your browser.
Count weekdays between two dates or add a number of weekdays to a starting date. The current calculator treats Monday through Friday as business days and excludes Saturdays and Sundays, but it does not apply public-holiday calendars.
How to calculate business days
- Choose Count to count weekdays between a start and end date.
- Enter both dates and review the weekday count.
- Choose Add to move forward by a number of business days.
- Enter a starting date and a non-negative number of days to get the resulting date.
What counts as a business day here
Count mode walks through every calendar date from the start date through the end date, inclusive, and counts the date when its weekday is Monday through Friday. If the start date is after the end date, the tool reports an error.
Add mode starts after the supplied start date and advances until it has counted the requested number of weekdays. Entering zero returns the starting date unchanged. Saturdays and Sundays are skipped, while holidays are not recognized.
Privacy and limitations
All date calculations happen locally in the browser. This tool does not know national, regional, company, bank, or exchange holidays, so it should not be used as a definitive settlement, payroll, legal, or contractual calendar without checking the relevant holiday schedule.
